We have talked previously in other posts about there being a lack of a really useful and easy to use content spinner. Well those days are gone because John Leger, has created the ultimate and best content spinner ever made.

I am not going to go into the particulars of having this kind of tool in your Internet marketing arsenal, as those of us who have been around know quite well how useful and how much of a time saver this can be to properly utilize PLR articles and for other various uses, such as article marketing. In the big picture, this certainly will have multiple benefits.

For best results, always be thorough in the spin and make sure you don’t start with crap, because no matter how good the spinner, you will end up with crap. Remember that traffic and users of your sites matter, and not just the Search Engines, so you have to provide content for both.

You can always check out the results in Copyscape to be sure that the content is fresh and unique.

The Best Content Spinner, really is the best! All the other crap spinners that are out there and cost a lot more cannot compare to this useful, easy to use and fast tool!

All I can say is finally, this is the Spinner all us marketer have been waiting!!!!!!!!!

For those who are going to scream at me about their flagship blogs and main sites, this content spinning tool is not meant to spin content on those types of sites.

The Best Spinner Features

1. No need to think up synonyms, it offers a drop down menu with tons of choices to replace words and phrases.

2. No need to insert coding and spin syntax, it does it automatically.

3. There is a replace feature, so you can replace words and phrases when you only need one rewrite of content.

4. The syntax coded version offers unlimited inserts of synonym words and phrases. You can choose one word, or a whole phrase or even a sentence to spin.

5. Produces all spun variations as well as spin syntaxed (coded) copies.

6. One click quick selection of synonyms

7. Unlimited nested spinning

8. You can edit and make changes manually within the spinning console

9. Easy save and exporting to clipboard

10. Word count and uniqueness percentages

11. Support for Spanish, German and other languages

12. A newly added article directory where you can submit articles that other members can post to their sites for backlinks!

AND

13. You can now post articles directly to your Wordpress blogs from the spinner, and unique versions of it to several blogs

plus a members forum where the developer is active and offers on going support

and tons more features…

The Best Content Spinner

Truly this is the best content spinner I have ever seen and what all marketers have been waiting for and I urge you guys to try it out.

The regular price is $87 per year, but right now you can still try it for $7 for 7 days and take it for a full test run.

Check out the Video of the Spinner in Action, and get buy it before the price goes back up. Believe me you guys will be just as amazed as I was.

The fold is a website design term that refers to the area of a webpage that is instantly visible to the visitor without having to scroll either to the sides or up and down. The fold can vary of course, depending on the web platform, the template or the design of the site itself.

Also, remember that there are over 65 web browsers available that all render and display web pages in a different way so the fold can vary from browser to browser.

Use this great free tool to check out how your site looks in all the different browsers: Browser Shots

Optimal Ad Placement – Above the Fold

For marketing and advertising you will want to have your most important website-add-placement-above-the-foldads, products and service promotions “Above the Fold”. This may seem elemental, but you’d be surprised how easy it is to forget.

I assume we are all trying to make money online right?

A good amount of money targets should be readily visible without the user having to surf or scroll the site.

Many times we tend to showcase written website content or information, and other “non money” stuff, instead of showcasing the money makers.

This is especially true for blogs that have the 2 sidebars on the right, where the 3rd one is usually not visible without scrolling. Time and again I see blogs that place their ads or Adsense units in that invisible sidebar, which makes it a gamble as to whether or not the user will ever see them and hence be given the opportunity to click on them and make you money!

If you’re main goal is to get subscribers then of course your website content should be the main focus, but if you are trying to make money then the content matters less and optimal ads placement is more important.

And this concept of advertising above the fold does not only apply to banners and ads, but also to the navigation menus and links to your money pages.

Always make sure that your navigation, whether in the sidebar or top nav bar is visible above the fold and slaps them in the face!

Always think maximum exposure to the money targets!

This concept not only applies to the home (index) page but also to the deep or inner pages with articles and written content. Place your ads and products between paragraphs, don’t let them get pushed to the bottom of the page because the user may not ever get there.

Never assume that the user will check out your entire site, the Internet crowd has a short attention span and they are the epitome of instant gratification.

PUT IT IN THEIR FACE, YOU MAY ONLY GET ONE CHANCE FOR THEM TO SEE IT!

You can peruse any Internet Marketing forum and you will surely find a thread titled Blog or Website? This is a very common question asked by those starting an online business and especially for those looking to get into the business blogging.

Many times in the forums, you get lame answers, such as “a blog is a website” DUH!

But, that does not answer the question as it is intended, and even the newest of newbies know that there is an inherent difference between blogs, blogging and websites beyond the technological.

While there are very sophisticated techie definitions, for the purpose of this discussion I will limit the definitions to the basics of Blogs vs. Static Websites and the unique characteristics of blogging that also apply to business blogging for making money.

Blog is short for weblog, which, simply put is a dynamic website that is constantly updated and provides interactivity between it and its users.

vs.

Static Websites usually display the same information, thus it is static. The content is not updated regularly and while the webmaster may always add pages of content, it is not expected. These sites can also be described as passive.

Blog Charateristics:

1. A blog needs to be updated with fresh content regularly, it is expected and required, or else it will die out.

2. One of the blog’s main purposes is to engage readers and gain subscribers, in fact for many bloggers it is an end goal.

3. A blog is never truly passive, it cannot be slapped up and then left alone, it requires ongoing attention and therefore a lot of interest in and motivation for the subject from the blogger.

4. Blogs have messy navigation, since there is new content added regularly it is more difficult to present it all neatly and visibly, and much if it gets buried as more is added.

5. Blogs are more personal and represent a human behind the site.

Static Website Characteristics:

1. They are built, launched and then marketed. They can be a source of passive income without the expectation of new content. They are safe to leave alone to do “their thing.”

2. The navigation is neat and all pages and content can be displayed prominently to visitors, this includes all your affiliate link pages, store pages and anything else that you want visitors to not miss, therefore static sites allow you to have more control over what is presented to visitors, while blog content easily gets buried over with the new incoming content.

3. The static website is not usually personal, it is detached from a “human behind the site.”

Blog vs. Website

The decision to go with a Blog or Website is really a personal one. However, the problem for newbies is that they lack the experience to make an informed choice and often it is just trial and error.

I for one, do not think blogging is for everyone. Blogging is a bigger time investment and blogs are not the greatest passive income tools. In fact, many Internet marketers say that blog readers and subscribers do not click on Adsense and they do not take you up on your add offers very much. Usually they are there to read your content. The true money comes from search engine traffic, that will not subscribe but will exit with a click on Adsense or by buying an affiliate product.

There are exceptions. Some blogs focus on shopping and product reviews and that is the focus of the posts with the focus of making money, I have no experience with this type of blog and so maybe some of my readers can add their input, like Frank from Money Saving Reviews – Money Saving Guides.

Blogging takes a lot of dedication to the written word, versus the static website that does not. Tons of blogs fail because the blogger loses interest quickly after launch.

With all that it takes to learn and apply the marketing and SEO end of the business, a static website lessens the work load and allows newbies to focus on learning the tools and skills necessary to succeed.

There are many user friendly website builders, such as WYSIWYG, that stands for “What You See is What You Get” website software that allows those without any code or even basic HTML knowledge to build beautiful sites with simple drag and drop simplicity. Once the website is launched then experience can be gained on the Internet marketing end, without the constant stress of updating. Two of the best WYSIWYG softwares are WebEasy 7 Pro and Coffee Cup HTML Editor.

Also, you can use the free Wordpress platform to build niche sites, with an empahis on pages instead of posts, that allow for neater navigation and a focus on making money as opposed to getting readers, but this is not true blogging.

What do you guys think?

One of the most important parts of a good affiliate marketing website is original and valuable written content. I do not want to rehash the same old argument about the importance of content, I will stick with my stand that good content is:

  1. Good for your visitors
  2. Good for ranking in serps (search engine rank pages)
  3. Good as a keyword density tool
  4. Good for Internal linking and on-site SEO
  5. Good to distinguish your sites from:
    a) The same links and content that the merchants you are affiliating for have on their sites.
    b) Other similar affiliate websites, like BANS, where many other webmasters are using them.

It is very true that thin affiliate marketing websites do not do well in search engines. Here is a quote from Google Webmaster Help Center

“Our Webmaster Guidelines advise you to create websites with original content that adds value for users. This is particularly important for sites that participate in affiliate programs. Typically, affiliate websites feature product descriptions that appear on sites across that affiliate network. As a result, sites featuring mainly content from affiliate networks can suffer in Google’s search rankings, because they do not have unique content that differentiates them from other sites on the web. Unique, relevant content provides value to users and distinguishes your site from other affiliates, making it more likely to rank well in Google search result pages.”

Content along with a good link building strategy is the formula to get your sites to rank high in the SERPS.

But, content can be one of the most daunting tasks for affiliate marketers, especially if you have a store type site, it is hard to find ideas for written content, sometimes you really have to think outside the box. So here are some ideas for website content:

Website Content Ideas:

1. PLR - PLR stands for Private Label Rights. These are articles you buy or sometimes can get for free and use as you wish, including publish it verbatim as your own. Do not just copy and paste PLR stuff into your website, much better to tweak and rewrite them a little to make them more unique and original because you never know how many other people have bought the same article.

The Best Spinner is your best friend when it comes to PLR, as it is the greatest tool to create tons of unique versions of articles with east. Has a comprehensive and unprecedented Thesaurus, that replaces not just words, but entire phrases, and with a great synonym drop down menu. It is loaded with tons of features and extras and is a marketers dream come true for spinning content quickly and easily. This is a must see product, learn more at Best Spinner.

This sure is easier than writing from scratch :-) .

Good PLR Sites:

1. All Private Label Content – Good one. Very Cheap and lots of subjects.
2. PLR Mini Mart – Very Cheap article packs on tons of topics.
3. thePLRarticles.com – Not too much of a selection but cheap.
4. Constant Content – Varies from cheap to REALLY expensive.

2. Guides and Tutorials - Every type of product can be fitted to some kind of guide or tutorial and more than one. Even if you are selling clothes you can have a page on size charts, types of clothing for different shapes, hottest fashion trends, buying guide, etc…

3. How-To - How-to’s are great. Just use your imagination, a how-to can be created for just about anything.

4. Side Subjects – You can write about sub-subjects within your main one. For instance if you are selling CD’s you can have pages about music artists, music industry. If selling furniture you can talk about home decorating, if selling cooking ware you can provide recipes etc.. the possibilities are endless.

5. Product Reviews – If you don’t know the product do some research and compile something good.

6. Current Trends/Events related to the niche.

7. Trivia - Trivia is a popular subject and easy to create.

8. Interesting Facts and/or Myths – related to the niche/subject.

9. Histories – on the products or subject of your site.

10. What Returning Visitor’s Have To Say – make it up if you have to.

11. About Pages - add a page detailing what your site is about.

12. Biographies – good one if relevant to your niche.

13. Advantages of Buying Online – This one is universal and applies to any niche and or product. Customize it to your subject, write about the savings of online shopping vs. retail, good opportunity for keywords.

14. Lists - People love lists and they are easy to create. IE: Best, Worst, Most Bought, Most Popular, Most Read, Least Liked, 10 ways to…, 5 Methods for…, 8 Types of, etc… the possibilities here are endless.

15. Feeds – A great way to add regularly updated content to your website. These services provide free news widgets and content feeds that will create the most current news on your sites related to your subject/niche.

Free feed services:

1. Feedzilla - Endless topics and subjects
2. RSS Feed Reader
3. Spring Widgets – Creates cool widgets for news feeds and allows you to create a news widget from any feed or blog URL you enter, even this one ;-)
4. Sphere

16. Content Generating Software – Frank at OP Tempo has created Blog Content Wizard, a software that creates content automatically based on keywords you enter and not just for blogs. I have not tried it but it looks promising.

Ways to Find Ideas for Website Content

1. Research keywords to find content ideas. When you enter the main product/niche keyword of your sites, phrases like how-to whatever, best whatever… will come up for what people are searching for within that niche.

Also, remember to research the best keywords for those content pages as you want them to rank for popular keywords and this way you will be all over the SERPS and get lots more targeted traffic. Learn more at 6 Step Checklist for On-Site SEO.

2. Visit your competitors sites to get inspirations for content and especially the top gun sites (do not copy).

3. Look at what popular bloggers in your niche are talking about.

4. Visit article sites to get ideas from existing articles. Ezine Articles, Article Dashboard, Article Factory, Article City and Buzzle are some good ones. (Do not copy articles, this is a big nono)

What content tips and ideas can you guys offer? Where do you find inspirations for content? How do you fill pages on your affiliate sites?

Often we have so much to focus on in our Internet marketing strategies, that important logistics maybe overlooked when building our websites and blogs.

It is really important to protect yourself from legal action in regards to your websites, whether you are selling physical products, have an affiliate marketing website, an informational website or blog or even just a personal website you run for fun.

Legal Protection is Important:

1. You can be sued by some idiot who, for instance, uses the information on your websites and does not get the result he wants and so then he files a suit against you.

2. He may file a suit against you for some action of the merchant your are an affiliate for.

3. Another idiot can steal serious amounts of content from your websites.

4. Evil lawyers are out there trolling for vulnerable websites to take advantage of.

These are just some examples of the horror stories that could take place. In the end, a website is in many ways the same as a business, your business, and therefore requires to be treated as such.

For example, if you provide information or guidance of any kind, a disclaimer should make it clear that you are in no way to be held responsible for the outcomes of individual experiences and that you make no guarantees as to those outcomes, and readers should do their own research or take actions at their own risk.

Website Tips – Protect Yourself:

Research all the options available to protect yourself and your websites, including, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Disclaimer or a combination of such to post on all of your websites. Website design wise, these are usually linked to from the footer.

1. Hire an attorney to create these for your websites, this way you are sure to cover all the legal basics with your respective jurisdications and laws.

2. Free services are available that will create documents, referring to US law. Make sure to read what is generated and that these will work for you:

Priority Digital – Free Site Disclaimer

Contract Store – Free Privacy Policy

Free Net Law – Variety of Free Documents

3. For $15 you can purchase legal agreements from FindLegalForms.com they included a Governing Jurisdiction of the Courts provision. Basically, the provision requires anyone filing a lawsuit to be bound by the laws in your state and keeps someone from filing a lawsuit on the other side of the country and requiring you to show up and fight it.

Disclaimer for this post: I am not a lawyer, this post is written in general terms to provide my readers with general information. You are expected to do the necessary research and consult with legal professionals in order to obtain legal advice.

In order to launch a website you need to register (purchase) a domain name and get a company to host your website in order for it to be live. A domain is the URL, such as www.yourdomain.com. The .com is termed the extension of a domain and there are several, such as, .info, .net, .biz, .us, .org, .asia etc…

All though there are differing opinions on this topic, in the Internet Marketing world, I prefer .com, because it is the original extension, the most popular and the one most people remember and so it is perfect for branding. Of all the extensions, the .com is one of the most expensive.

Usually, a hosting company will offer you a very cheap domain registration if you buy their hosting, however, I do NOT recommend registering your domain this way. It is best to buy a domain from a registrar separate from your hosting company. There are many horror stories, where people have had problems that tie their hands when they want to transfer hosts and the domain was also registered with that host.

Domain registration with a separate registrar and then completing a quick process of pointing the nameservers to a different host is the better route.

If, Hostgator, is The Best Web Hosting Company, and the king of website hosting, then All Cheap Web is the king of domain registration.  (Coupon Code - wordpress – gets you Hostgator for the 1st month for only 1 Cent)

I have researched over 40 domain registration services and on average, the cost for registering a .com domain is $9.99 per year and an additional $8.99 for private registration, which means that your name, address and other private information is blocked form public view.

Well, with All Cheap Web, .com domain registration is $6.95 and only and additional $1.95 for private registration. Plus, .info domains for $1.99. THAT IS A GREAT DEAL! So register your domains with All Cheap Web and then get hosting services from Host Gator, you won’t be sorry!

User friendly and dirt cheap All Cheap Web wins hands down!

What do you guys think? Anyone found any cheaper domain registration?

Even though my blog is new, I think my readers know me well enough to be sure that I do my best to provide quality content and material that is honest, hands-on and usable for all of our Internet Marketing endeavors.

In the same same light, all the banners that you see on my blog and all the products that I mention in my posts, are products I use and can honestly recommend to my readers. By nature, I am no salesperson, in fact I could not sell cheese to a mouse.

credit: livisplace.com/

I value my reputation, many times in life that is all we truly have. So, even though I am an affiliate for most of these products you can be sure that it is something I use and know by personal experience to be worthwhile.

This brings me to web hosting. Host Gator is the best web hosting company and the ONLY hosting company I use and it is the only hosting I will ever use for 4 main reasons.

1. Since signing up with them over a year ago, there has literally been almost NO downtime, so my site is always available and visitors rarely get an error message when they visit my sites.

2. There is 24/7 Online Chat and phone for customer support and the longest I have ever waited for a support rep to come online was 5 minutes. The support is fantastic and they always hold my hand through any technical issues or questions I have. Other hosting I have used I had to wait sometimes over 45 minutes!!!

3. They are cheap! $9.99 per month for unlimited domains.

4. Brent Oxley. Brent is the founder and owner of Host Gator and Brent is truly unique because he understands customer service and goes out of his way to make sure that his customers are always satisfied. As a customer I always have access to him and can email him with any concerns or problems I may have.

For those of you who don’t know, a good web hosting company is so important! There are so many bad ones out there that can really interfere with your online business efforts. And, it is so important to be able to connect with a helpful support rep quickly, because believe me when you are in the middle of a file upload or have any technical issues, nothing is more crucial than having quick and helpful response to your questions.

Uptime, great service and overall host quality is essential to your Internet business efforts and I can honestly tell you that Host Gator is the best, even if the jumping gator maybe be a bit obnoxious, but I think he actually grows on you :-) .

HOSTGATOR COUPON

Go to Host Gator and use COUPON CODE: WORDPRESS and get the first month for 1 Cent, no limitations or conditions, that is ALL you pay upfront!

I read a lot of blogs, and I have seen bloggers who recommend to beginners that they build 50, even 100 niche sites at once and especially for BANS users.

Yes, you can build 50, 75 and even 100 great niche sites with BANS and do it fairly quickly because BANS is designed for easy and fast niche site building, which is one of the main reasons that I recommend BANS to all my readers. But I would like to ask, where is the fire?

I do not believe building a lot of niche sites is the best practice for beginners. There is a lot involved in Internet marketing and Internet marketing strategies must be applied to each and everyone of the sites for optimal results. I recommend that beginners have NO more than 2 (maximum 3) niche sites.

As I have said before, success in this business is greatly based on hands-on experience and doing it by applying what you learn.

This experience is best gained, when there is only a few niche sites on which you focus. If you are a beginner and learning and applying all the traffic, link building, article marketing, SEO and all other Internet marketing strategies and on top of that you have to do it for 50+ sites, it greatly diminishes your chances for success. Talk about spreading yourself thin?

Now, I do think that having several income sources via niche sites is best, however, there is a time and place for everything.

I promise you that as you apply the Internet marketing strategies and you are learning and getting more and more experience you will become an expert and these techniques will become automatic for you. Along the way you will also learn a ton more from the testing and tweaking and your own personal niche journey. And, THEN you become an expert and THAT is when you can build an empire of niche sites!

Believe me, for beginners there is enough to learn and master without adding the huge stress of too many niche sites, and this could become a recipe for failure through massive burn out and simple frustration!

Also, chances are great that if you have to apply all the marketing methods, before you actually master them all, to a lot of sites, you will start to take shortcuts and this will affect all current and future online campaigns because your expertise and learning of the correct way will be flawed.

Don’t set yourself up! There is nothing wrong with taking the time to really learn Affiliate Marketing and all the correct Internet marketing techniques by focusing on less niche sites. Believe me this will pay off in the long run, and not crush you in the short run!

What do you guys think? I have some expert Internet Marketer readers, I’d like to hear your opinions? How many niche sites is too many? Not Enough?

I notice more and more when I visit websites and blogs that there is no Favicon. I also notice that the big-gun websites always have a Favicon and for good reason. A Favicon is the ideal venue to website branding and website promotion.

What is a favicon? A favicon is short for “favorites icon”, also known as a page icon that is associated with a particular website or blog. A favicon is a customized icon for your site and it appears next to your website name by the url in the address bar, title tab, and next to the website name in bookmarks.

FAVICONS IN BROWSERS and TITLE BARS:

Favicons in browsers, address bar and title bar

FAVICONS IN BOOKMARKS:

Favicons in Bookmarks

WEBSITE PROMOTION AND BRANDING with FAVICONS:

A Favicon makes your site stand out. If you look at the screenshot of my bookmarks, it is easy to identify those websites that have a favicon (circled in red). When I search through my bookmarks, I don’t even read the site name, I can easily click on what I need by memory through the respective Favicon and that is ideal for website promotion.

Conversely the sites marked with the black X do not have a favicon and so those sites are not easily identifiable because only a generic little white page icon shows up that blends into the background and no custom image is associated for those sites.

Overall humans are very visual, company images or logos are an essential part of any marketing campaign. The same goes for Internet Marketing, where logos are used to brand a website and for website promotion.

Just like a logo, a favicon helps your website’s brandability and promotion by associating a specific image with your website. But, while the logo is only visible on your site, a Favicon takes it further because the favicon shows up in the address bar, in the title bar and most importantly in bookmarks.

Also, if you comment on blogs and participate in forums, as you should be for traffic and link building, then you can use your Favicon as your Avatar and/or Gravatar, this will further help in site branding and website promotion by giving a large amount of exposure to your websites through an image.

I strongly recommend you get favicons for all your sites and blogs, if you have a logo then the Favicon should be your logo. If you do not have a logo then the favicon could be anything you want, but it’s best to create something that matches your site theme.

You can easily create a free and customized Favicon at:

Favicon Generator and Gallery – Create your Own Image using a Paint Program and turn it into a Favicon with this free online tool, complete instructions provided. (This is the one I used for the Favicon on this blog).

Favicon from Pics - Create Favicons from your picture files, such as jpegs. This Favicon creator has options for scrolling marquee and animation of the Favicon.

Favicon.ru – Create Favicons from picture files, such as jpegs.

Now go and get your Favicon!!
