I am happy to report that I won a nice fat jackpot in Vegas, $1400 from one spin on the slot machine with my last $20! Was planning to just take that $20 home and then my son said just play it, what the heck you got to lose, and bam, hit 4 wilds on the Wizard of Oz slots! And for those of you who remember my last trip to Vegas you know that dang machine owed me, plus it was my birthday trip so I guess my luck was good - Happy Birthday To Me!!
And then when I got back home last night I noticed there has been another Google Page Rank update, which was another nice surprise as several of my sites went up from PR2 to…

Time and again I see little niche sites using trademark brand names in their url's. This is a truly reckless and a very stupid thing to do.
Here you are spending valuable time, working hard on your site designing, promoting, link building and your site has
high search engine rankings and making you money and then the brand name company notices you and it's over. At the very least your site will have to come down and at worst the brand name will sue you for copyright infringement.

Zac Johnson over at zacjohnson.com did a post on this topic and it really got me thinking so I went over and looked at the first website I ever built online...
LMAO... as the old saying: "You've Come A Long Way Baby" has never applied more.
I used Blogger for my first site and really I had no clue what I was doing. The SEO, both on-site and off is totally pathetic, I never even did any keyword research so the title and title tags are totally lame and untargeted...

There is so much malware out there that can downloaded to your computer without you even knowing it, referred to as "drive-by" malware that all you have to do is visit a website and if it is infected that virus will infect your PC as well.
I have been infected twice in the past by these "drive-by" downloads and they had completely damaged my computers when Trojan viruses infected my PC, disabled my Internet browser and I had to have the entire operating system reinstalled, this also cost $100 since I no longer had the original OS disk and I lost all my data. This really sucks!
These days even the most trusted sites are getting infected with the latest iFrame Trojan, that infected, USA Today, ABC News, Target and Wal-Mart websites.
Today…

The topic of this post has caused me much trouble and many searches for guides have yielded few results. I am in the process of changing my blog theme and I have finally figured out how to change themes safely and easily in the background while visitors see the current blog with the old theme intact.
This is awfully helpful as when you are converting themes, no new theme will fit perfectly with old theme tweaks. Existing ads, comment styles, sidebar contents, widgets and other tweaks that we all have done to our blogs along the way, will need to be customized for the new theme. Some themes break everything or most everything and many changes are needed to be made manually and no one wants to do them…
