Here are some great bloggers in the Internet marketing and blogging arenas that offer useful and valuable content.

It seems that with some bloggers the more Internet Marketing “guru” they become, the less value they provide. In my opinion the main point of blogging is to provide value to your readers within your niche, whether it’s Internet marketing, MMO or purple dog leashes, content is the central focal point of blogs, so if there is no value a high subscriber count does not a great blog make.

I really don’t give a sh-t how many subscribers you got, what I am interested in is valuable content and I think that many new bloggers, those without thousands of readers offer a lot of value and should not be ignored, in fact it is the new bloggers that often try harder and deliver a lot more than their “guru” counterparts. What do you guys think?

Anyway, onto the bloggers that do it right…

Stephan Miller of Stephan Miller Blog offers extreme value on his Internet marketing blog and has been giving me lots of link love around the social sphere, thank you for that Stephan!

Griz from Make Money for Beginners wrote two great posts about Adsense Optimization Tips for Adsense and I just Doubled My Income -Adsense Smart Pricing, both are very hands-on and useful posts.

Jason, The University Kid at Entrepreneur Blog is giving away a very good free e-book on flipping websites, that is really unique, get your free download here Make Money Dynamo.

Yan from Thou Shall Blog offers truly insightful and very comprehensive blogging tips and it is a pleasure to read his blog because there is always something new to learn and his interaction with his readers in comments is something to model. Make sure to read A-Z Blogging Guide for Beginners.

And, Peter Lee from Work From Home Business Blog, is fantastic at networking with other bloggers and webmasters for mutual success and interacting with his readers. The content is fresh, make sure to check out his post 200 + Passive Income Resources, Tips and Home Ideas. Oh and contact him and he’ll gladly exchange Technorati faves with you.

Tay from Super Blogging Tips provides a very cool strategy on link bait at: Want Traffic Call John Chow a Bad Blogger and don’t miss Decrease Your Posting Frequency, a sound and useful outlook for bloggers, that I completely agree with opposed to the fanatical daily posting strategy that some adhere to, what’s the prob with letting a post live a little? Tay also understands the value of link luv and spreads it around!

Oh and a little congrats to myself for making the 45n5 Top 100 MMO blogs from Digital Product Reporter, 45n5′s top 100 MMO blogs. By the way, this type of list is a great link bait and traffic generator, people really love those lists and they can be created for any niche/blog topic, you can check out how they do it at Create Your Own Top 100 List.

I have to say that the United States is the greatest country in the world.

All though, I am not one for corniness and I prefer my usual sarcastic and obnoxious self, I have to say that today I have been full of corny sayings, feeelings and actions.

Being that I was born in the former USSR, where neither I, nor any member of my family ever had the chance to go to the polls and cast a vote for president or for anything else for that matter, today I had the special opportunity to have my son, who was born here, vote next to me in his first election, and I, of course to his utter horror, brought a camera to mark the special day.

For me, it is always an exceptional site to see the droves of people heading to the polls, and seeing them wait in long lines to cast their votes is such a contrast to the long lines I remember standing in back in the USSR waiting to buy a chicken for dinner.

No matter what happens, this country never ceases to amaze, inspire hope and provide endless opportunities, rights and freedoms and Americans have proven once again that despite huge adversity and prejudices anything is possible.
and…
despite those that said no way can Obama win because everyone in this country is racist, one of those being my cousin who predicted a McCain win with a 10% spread tonight owes me $1,000 bucks since he lost that bet

Whether your candidate won tonight or not, no one can say that this is not the greatest country in the world.

What a great holiday, a time to scare the shit out of yourself and someone you love What could be better?

I am a horror movie fanatic and have been since I was eight and as my usual yearly Halloween fright ritual I watch Halloween I and II in the dark with my favorite horror star Michael Myers and today was no different, all though today I only had time to watch part I.

Can there be a Halloween without Michael? Not for me!

Well it is officially the 4 month anniversary of JR’s Internet Marketing Strategies blog! I cannot believe it’s all ready been 4 months!

When I first started this blog I did not know what to expect, my experience had been limited to websites, and as most of you guys probably know blogging is a whole other world. There were two recurring events this week in my Internet marketing world that really made me want to shoot myself, or better yet shoot the perps committing this insanity.

1. Endless procession of Blog Posts about Google Chrome, yes Google has launched a new browser called Chrome.

Tuesday, one after the other, I was getting blog post notices with the same subject, Google Chrome is the Greatest Thing on Earth, Google Chrome will Revolutionaize the Web…I CARED A LITTLE…

Wednesday, there was a total of 8, including, Google Chrome Sucks, Google Chrome Does not Suck…I DON’T CARE ANYMORE…

Thursday, they started again, one after the other…. I CARE EVEN LESS!!!

Friday delivered 3 more…I SO NOT CARE AND NOW I AM GOING TO GO POSTAL!! ENOUGH ALL READY!!!

2. I am working hard to compile a list of Do-Follow Blogs for you guys on different niches, so I was doing the research and visiting each one to make sure they really are do-follow. Over and over this message was posted in the comments section of theses so called “do-follow” blogs.

“Do not use website names or keywords
in comments, use real names.”

WTF IS THAT??

Listen up do-follow bloggers…I and NO ONE I know, wants to rank for their real names, we are pretty sure that when someone is searching for Internet Marketing Strategies, they will not search for JR, they will search for “internet marketing strategies” and this is the keyword I am trying to rank for!!!!

The whole point of the do-follow is to give link juice to your valuable commenters and readers, in order to help their link building efforts and Page Rank. If you only allow first names then don’t bother with the do-follow, you defeat the whole purpose!

NOW REPEAT AFTER ME:
KEYWORDS in the ANCHOR TEXT, once again KEYWORDS in the ANCHOR TEXT, just in case you missed it KEYWORD ANCHOR TEXT!!!!

This is off the topic of Internet Marketing, but it is about making money, which, I think is the reason we are all here.

I recently saw a post on my friend Tara’s Work at Home Mom blog about a new search engine that pays you to search, so I joined.

Scour is a social search engine and you get points to search, vote for websites and leave comments for websites within search results. Once you reach a certain amount points, you can trade them in for a Visa Gift Card.

I have only used it for a couple of days, and I quickly accumulated lots of points, you don’t realize how many times you search the web in one day until you see the calculations in front of you. Also, the voting and commenting is quick and simple,  you don’t even leave the search page!

Scour provides plug-ins for your toobar so you can easily set it and forget it. Also, Scour shows the rankings of each website in search results for Google, Yahoo and MSN, and also allows you to sort results by those SE’s rankings.

What was really fun for me is seeing this blog come up on page one in Scour with tons of competition, WITHOUT quotes! Considering this blog is so new that was really cool!

Scour is still in Beta, so there are some bugs, but, as long as you are searching anyway, why not make some money?
