For those of you running flagship sites for topics relating to Internet marketing, blogging, make money online and SEO here are the best social Web 2.0 sites that specifically focus on those topics only and are great places to to promote that content and get some backlinks as well.
WeBlogBetter - My friend Keisha was kind of enough to set up a page where bloggers can promote their sites and social network contacts as well. Not exactly a social site, but just as good if not better for promoting your blogs and networking with like minded bloggers, check the page out here: Promote Your Blogs.
Twitter - Of course! Though not technically a social network, it is a great place to find people to follow you and where you can promote all your content and get a following. Join me at my Twitter Page.
Submit your posts to Viral Buzz and others will promote for you on Facebook and Twitter.
Google + (Can be accessed from your main Google account)
Connect with and build relationships with like minded bloggers and webmasters. Find me on Google+ and let's connect.
And now they have communities based on niche, there are Blogging, SEO, Internet Marketing, Social Media communities that are growing fast in members.

I personally think that Google+ is much easier and more beneficial than Facebook for connecting and building an audience, especially for the smaller individual webmaster and now with communities it is that much easier to connect with people and build brand.
Blokube - This is a very popular spot to submit content related to blogging and marketing.
MMO Social Network - This is a great new social Web 2.0 site to promote all your online business, blogging and MMO content.
SERPD - A great site to submit anything related to online business and blogging.
WP Scoop - All stories related to WordPress.
Bloggers - Social network site for bloggers, very popular, if you decide to join look me up at JR and we can connect and follow.
Blog Dash - Very popular blog outreach site.
Biz Sugar - Very popular site for business, IM and blogging content.
Design Blend - WordPress, photoshop and design related content.
Quora - This is a question and answer site that has a lot of blogger and IM activity
Sphinn - Search Engine Journal's Web 2.0 site for submitting search engine related content. I do not feal with them anymore or read their site simply because after submitting several quality pieces of content, some my own and some from other bloggers, they rejected each one. To me their a clik of the "big bloggers" and what they select to publish makes little sense, since a lot of the stuff is pretty mediocre, so I think their site is a waste of time, and stuck up, but I would be remiss to not list them here.
Earners Club - All Internet marketing, make money online, blogging and online business content.
Small Business Brief - All topics of online marketing and social media marketing
SEO Tagg - Submit all your search engine optimization, search engines, SERPS and other related SEO content.
Design Float - All topics related to design, like HTML, CSS, Photoshop and they have a category for Branding and Identity.
Design Moo - All design and WordPress related links.
Design Bump - All website, WordPress, and blog design related content.
IM Answers
This is like the Yahoo Answers for Internet marketing, blogging and other online ventures. You can answer questions, create posts and articles and establish yourself as an authority and get some links as well.
Social Media Today
A moderated community bloggers, PR people, marketers and media pros.
Facebook
You can really brand yourself at Facebook for your flagship blogs and sites, like Internet marketing, blogging, Make Money Online and any online business topics, and easily submit your posts and content with the Facebook bookmarklet, these will be become "posted to your wall" there providing for good exposure.
Xing.com
A New site that has bought SocialMedian, it's all about business networking, not sure of its effects yet, but I am checking it out now.
Professionals on the Web
If you are a web developer, designer or some other web techie you can network here, showcase your work and much more.
Killer Startups
This is a community driven site where online business pros, bloggers and other IM people can submit their startup to see what others think about it. Not sure how much activity is over these days, but they are a PR6.
BizNik
Biznik is a highly reputable and award winning community of entrepreneurs and small business owners dedicated to helping each other succeed, lots of Internet marketing and online business stuff over there.
YouTube
If you make video guides on your sites or blogs submit them to YouTube
Hub Pages
You can easily promote yourself and your blog by writing something spectacular, lots of traffic there and other bloggers and marketers to network with. Make sure to write Hubs that are not just promotional, but offer some expertise and authority content and then mention your link for more information.
Squidoo

Blog Engage
Another great place to submit blogging, and Internet marketing related blog posts and engage and network with other bloggers.
Pinterest - While technically not IM and blogging focused, Pinterest is now the 3 biggest traffic site on the web, and I have gotten traffic from there from blogging related post images I submitted. I use the free Pinterest plugin on my site to add the button for submission to each post, see it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pinterest-plugin/

Great post, some great sites in the list, one I tend to use is blogger, only because it can be used for commercial use, unlike wordpress.

Are you referring only to the free hosting?
Because I much more prefer WordPress as a platform for domain hosting. It has so many plugins and is so easy to “skin” that I haven’t even given Blogger a chance. (I have a subdomain at blogger, however)

Yes the comment refers to free hosting options, and WordPress vs. Blogger, Blogger wins hands down. Of course, I think it’s always best to host your own sites with WordPress platform, as opposed to using free platforms, like Blogger.

Yes they’ve been around for a while, there has not been too much buzz about them in the IM world, but I have used them for some time.
Squidoo is a great site for your content. There is a large community to bounce that content off of as well as get quick traffic to your site. I have see more and more about the MMO social network. I will have to check that out. Thanks for the list

Is there even a reason to use Hubpages?
Their links are nofollow, and the pages I made are great but don’t show up in Google results. (Even after I built links to them)
I just took them out of my bookmarks because they aren’t worth the time. Squidoo is much better, IMO.

Well the link value is not that great, but they do usually rank very well in SERPS, sometimes better that Squids and the internal traffic is very high so you can get exposure to like minded readers, especially for MMO and IM content. As far as ranking it can depend on the competitiveness of the keywords you are using, and that maybe why the are not ranking, usually low competition KW work best for both Squids and Hubs.
Great list, the new promotional technique have just heard about is the internet marketing Q&A, does it really help. I will surely give it a shot, thanks for the post.

Thank you so much for this post. Part of the problem with building a presence on the web is knowing which sites are relative to your market. Although I was aware of Squidoo, Hubpages, Facebook and a few of the others you definitely added some real value to the mix in the form of additional sites that focus on internet marketing, blogging etc.

I’ve been making a good living from internet marketing for almost 2 years. If you know what are doing, you can make lots of money. I highly recommend building a list right away and then writing articles. Set up your squeeze page first and start to build relationships. That’s how you make the big bucks.
I have done a lot of work on Hub pages and Squidoo. Very helpful in SEO and SEM

This is really an interesting post. Building links and working on it is the right way to start earning. With good writing skills one can earn a decent income.Also, if Search Engine Journal’s Web 2.0 site is for submitting search engine related to content, the technique is very organized and one must be willing to undergo certain type of risks involved with it.
