Just a quick post today as a follow up to the Google Mayday Update, where so many webmasters, especially e-commerce sites suffered tanked SERP rankings for their long tail keywords because of thin inner product pages, and overall thin inner content pages.
Following that Mayday update many webmasters started to look for ways to repair the damage, some of the fixes and post Mayday techniques that are worth a look are at my post at How To Create and Rank Inner Website Pages.
I found yet another gem that will really enhance any static website pages by providing user generated content on auto pilot for those website platforms, that unlike WordPress blogs, do not have the ability to leave comments and it's FREE!!!!!
Citricle Rateback, is an incredible free tool that gives you a copy and paste script that will add comments as well as ratings functions to any static website. This is really cool because this is a very effective way to add more content and beef up those static site pages, and e-commerce product pages, just like Amazon has on each of their product pages.
By the way, there are no outlinking issues here, because the script only includes, name and email, no URL.
Truly this is a must have tool for any static site that wants to keep up in today's highly competitive and content demanding Google search engine, as more and more thin sites are getting left behind, while those that think out of the box and consistently adding more are destined to excel.
And, even if you are not concerned with the search engines and Google rankings, then think of your users and website traffic. Comments and ratings can only help them add more interactivity, engagement and product ratings on your sites, all of which in turn can greatly increase revenue, whether from your own product sales or affiliate products. Get yours at Citricle Rateback.

Very cool. I just purchased myratingsplugin for WordPress, which has more features, but I can see this script working great for simpler sites.

It is a good idea to add comments and ratings to each page in order to get additional relevant content for each page and to update the pages to generate buzz in search engines.

Very cool tip JR. We have more static pages than blog pages, so I will certainly give this tool a hard look.

Great resource, JR. I don’t currently have a need for this type of thing, but if I do, I now know where to get it. Thanks.

Very cool tip to add value to a static site in the eyes of Google. I remember hearing Matt Cutts recommend that people add little features where customers can provide feedback like this.

Nice. I didn’t know something like that existed in a fairly easy form to implement without a lot of custom coding required.

There is a similar tool on spotback.com which can also help you get links for your inner pages of any static website!
Also, you can have a rater, a sidebar and comments that will even appear on their indexpage while the users are commenting, rating etc.
Although this is cool and all, they have some issue with the js delivering(might slow your pages sometimes), but i saw a forum post about a workaround for this problem.
Anyway thanks for covering this article, now i have 2 rating/comments website were I/people can choose from.

I’ve been using the Citricle Rateback system since March this year and has been working great until 1 week ago. Now I can still see all the comments when I log in to the Citricle site but the comments won’t transfer to my website comment page. It was initially set up by my website creator and he can’t fix this problem now. Anyone with similar problem? Any suggestion? I don’t want to loose the great comments on my webpage!!
Any help will be appreciated!

@ MM
What happens when you go to your actual webpage, what do you see there?
Great news! It has been fixed. I’ve sent an email to the Citricle team and they fixed it for me free! Before, it was just showing loading and also the old comments already there were wiped out from the comment page. I don’t know what happened but seems like it’s been fixed now. Thanks anyway!
@ MM
Great, glad to hear they have such excellent service.
