Just learned about a great deal on .COM domains that is only good until August 31. Get a .COM domain for 99 cents, plus the iCANN fees, which means you pay only $1.17, versus the usual cost of .COM's which are around $10, now that's a great deal!
This is from GoDaddy.com , one of my favorite domain registrars, and the coupon code is SCHOOL99. Just choose your domain, and then add the code at checkout, limited to one 99 cent domain per customer, go get yours today!!
UPDATE:
Unfortunately the code mentioned above stopped working, I just used it yesterday, but a commenter tried it today and it stopped working...sorry everyone.
You can still save $4 on .COM with coupon code FAN3, which makes .COM domains, just $7.49 versus $11.61, not as good as the 99 cent deal, but still a good savings. Just enter the promo code at GoDaddy checkout. That code worked, I just used it.
2010 GoDaddy Coupons That Have No Expiration (hopefully)
YPN3 - $3.20 off every .COM (domain will cost just $7.49)
YPN1 - 10% off any order
YPN2 - $5 off any order $30 or more
YUP2 - $5 off $30 or more
YUP3 - $7.49 for a .COM promo code
YUP1 - 10% off anything and everything, the entire order
FAN3 - $7.49 for a .COM
FAN1 - 10% off
YES3 - $7.49 .COM domains, as many as you have in your cart
YES2 - $5 off $30
YES1 - 10% off
RRTV10 - $7.49 .COM domains
RRTV9 - $5 off orders of $30 or more
RRTV8 - 10% off your order
RRTV20H1 - 20% off shared hosting plans
RRTVSSL - $12.99 SSL certificates
PODFD412 - 30% off renewals

Tried your code … SCHOOL99 does not work…
@ David
That’s weird, I just used it yesterday and it worked, but now I went over and it does not work anymore, shame, still doing some research about this.
@ David
It looks like it stopped working, too bad, it was a good one. Anyway I find another that does work – FAN3 – but that’s for about $4 off .COM. so you pay $7.49 instead of $11.44, not as good as 99 cents, but better than nothing, sorry that one stopped working. Also, I revised my post and added a bunch more coupon codes that should not ever expire, it’s the best I can do.

JR,
I can’t believe GoDaddy is one of your favorite registrars! Every transaction I’ve had with them has been fraught with problems and I hate the way they do their billing. When I tried to transfer my domains with them to another registrar, that was problematic, too. There’s a website out there that details all the problems associated with GoDaddy. Let me know if you want more info and I can post it.
Eegads, you surprised me.
@ Eunice,
I have never had a problem transferring anything either FROM or TO them, it’s always smooth, great service and all transfers can be done within the domain manager without even having to contact them. I love them all around, great service, great deals, and always lots of coupon codes to be had. As far as billing, I always set everything to manual, so it’s all in my hands, sorry you had problems with them.

That’s an incredible offer, JR. Too bad I use NameCheap to register my domains.
Unfortunately I’ve never seen them have a deal this great.

That’s a bummer, but it happens. At least people can still get a decent deal.

Eunice,
I’m with JR, and really sorry to hear of your troubles. I’ve been using GD for domains for almost a decade with no real issues; maybe small things that have always been taken car of real fast.
I also go manual.

I know huh? This 99 cent thing they do from time to time, it’s usually not publicized too much, I read it on another blog which is how I knew about it. I don’t know what’s wrong with that damn threading, Im so sick of it, I am changing themes soon, cuz Im sick of this crap.

I have registered 100 domains already with godaddy and have never used a single promo code, looks like I have wasted quite some money there. I’ll use some of the promo codes for my next orders.
The discount that I’m aware of is for the $7.49 .com. I believe you’re right when you say that this does not expire. I think what they generally do is give this to their affiliates. Does represent a good savings over their regular .com pricing.
Thanks for the tip about Go Daddy codes!

Meh i use name.com i find it way better then any other registrars i ever used. They offer some great discounts if you buy in bulk and have a great dashboard with loads of features. Although I always miss the good coupons. I mean when I want to renew my dot Com’s domain I find awesome .org/.net/.info coupons and vice versa, but I think that’s just my luck.

Always handy to find some coupons to get domains cheaper. So thanks JR (those were the days I watched Larry Hagman & co…). But in the end: Namecheap does it for me now. Still, bookmarked the page for eventual future discount-coupons.
it is working, thanks.
Thanks for this list of coupons.
