I want to let you guys know about a great new free service from Caroline Middlebrook, one of my favorite bloggers, for free automated social bookmarking links. Well not sure which others you are referring to as there are several options available, but most are not free, and this one is, (so far) Overall, I like the frequency of submission settings, which most do not have, helps to make links appear more natural and spread out over time.
I like the full automation for FREE, which most don’t have unless you pay for a service, pretty much all I have to do is paste my link and the system does the rest, and the submissions are not all coming from my same login id. which helps too.
And I really like that I do not have to login into each site, which sites like Social Poster all require and it still takes some time for me to submit my links and when you are submitting many over time, this can take up quite a bit of time. It’s pretty much set it and forget it system, great for getting some links to those inner content pages of your sites and blogs.

Well if you have that, that is all you need, I believe it’s a great investment, make sure to follow all the directions they give in order to make the link building the best it can be. That is a great tool, and has tons of sites in it.

I have it and it is an awesome program. It definitely saves me a lot of time.
I’ve been using it since she opened it and I, too, LOVE IT! I especially like the ability to just click the button to pull the keywords and description. Social bookmarking has always been a big pain in my side, but this definitely makes it easier!

Do you know what sites they submit to?? Is it the main social sites or is it scuttle sites? I checked the help for more but didn’t see anything.
if this submits to the main sites, then it is a good software. Well , it is in beta stage, that is why it is free I think so.

Overall they are smaller more uknown sites, but remember that these are really low quality links overall so it does not really matter, they are still an important part of an overall link profile.
Caroline’s software is really good – it is totally under the radar because it is in testing mode. Those who know about it ( now that includes you ! ) should take advantage of it will it’s free.
She does say that there will be a free level in the future too (with less options)
The best parts are the automation of course, but with a system like Caroline’s you are NOT using your own bookmark accounts. That’s why I wasnt bookmarking anything for marketing, I think it’s senseless and spammy to bookmark your own content and the same URL’s all the time on your own accounts.

Thanks very much for the great writeup! To answer some of the questions asked in the comments here – yeah I had a problem with my host but I have now moved it and it’s been running fine on the new server for a few days now.
Most of the supported sites right now are Pligg sites – it’s faster to add sites based on a template like pligg or scuttle so these will be the focus in the short term to get the numbers up though I do intend to add support for the more mainstream sites in the future.
The software is free right now and there will always be a free version but that will not submit to as many sites as the paid version and wont have the more advanced features such as the spinning (which isn’t in yet).
The bookmark submitter is just one of around a dozen tools that are planned. In future versions only the bookmarker will be free, the others will be part of the paid version.
The price will start at around $25 per month and this will be introduced within the next few months.

I’m good, JR. Just flying under the radar….
Been traveling (and outsourcing my work) a lot these days.
Anyway, I setup an account and submitted my first submission. This tool does take away the hassle of creating an account manually. Let’s see what Caroline puts on the table. $25/month is fine with me as long as it is for unlimited urls.

Hey JR just signed up to try it out. Just one question though, do I have to put in a new link every time I create a post or just submit say my homepage?

Well what I do is I submit a few inner pages of written content for each of my sites. I also submit new pages as I make them.
I’m tickled with IMAutomator’s web-based submission that’s Apple browser friendly. This tool get’s the bookmarking done and it was easy to verify the backlinks were going live and getting crawled. Slogging thru Pligg sites manually is usually a low or no payback time-pit. But IMAutomator has a few gems in the list.
It’s soooo easy to set up Deep links to any content you’ve created. And with a limited # of sites, you needn’t worry about building whatever ‘too many’ links ‘too fast’ means. Even all in 1 day submissions get staggered out over 24 hours. Great tool that’s quickly added backlink strength to my inner pages — and hence to my sites as a whole. Worth every cent.

I was able to sign up for the free account but have not been able to access the site for a while now. I really wanted to purchase the subscription. Does any know what is going on with this site? I am getting a server busy error message but this has been for a couple of weeks and I have tried at different times. Is there a phone number or email address for Caroline?

Release 2 of IMAutomator’s feature rollout is now underway in 2011: The recently added Article and Directory submissions in addition to the RSS and Social Bookmarking – really rounds out the feature set. The subscription price has now doubled – after reopening to more members. However: the number and particularly the caliber of sites submitted to is still limited and weak. Yes its a balanced internet marketing _automator_ but it for it’s monthly price it ought to be a an IM DOMINATOR. And it’s not.

I bought a similar service from a different company but did not see any results. Google did not even index their bookmarks

Sounds interesting and it certainly looks like its going to make things much easier and efficient for website owners. Caroline do sounds interesting, I’d certainly want to come across some website owners using it.
