Thankfully PR is not the be all and end all of being successful on line. Check the SERPS and you will see plenty of low PR sites out ranking higher PR sites. Good quality links and good content should see you right,thanks for sharing the post.

Yeah that is why ranking in SERPS is the most important thing, when you have lots of pages at the top you can get lots of traffic, and PR does not get you there,thanks for sharing the blog.

@ Mark

NA would mean that your site has been banned, when you google your domain what comes up? Also, what are you using to check your PR?

PR usually drops when you stop link building,it just helps you in link exchange but it does'nt affect SERP at all!

On our main site, we’ve always focused on content and quality links and maybe that’s making a difference. We aren’t too concerned with PR, it’s the SERPs and KWs that we strive for. Great information and thank you very much!

@JR, Thanks for the tip! We do some Facebook stuff and a little Myspace. We are still trying to figure out how to make Twitter work for us without coming across as a spambomber.

@Eric
Good going, I think that Google seems to be looking much more at more quality links and devaluing the crappier links. But, let me tell you that you want to get some crappy links as well as the good ones, because it looks more natural. Get some social sites links, these can be good for traffic as well.

I'm glad I ran across your blog and posts! We are pretty new to SEO and have seen some crazy jumps in the last few weeks and this pretty mich confirms there was some kind of algo change. Actually most of the changes were to our benefit. On our main site, we've always focused on content and quality links and maybe that's making a difference. We aren't too concerned with PR, it's the SERPs and KWs that we strive for. Great information and thank you very much!
