I noticed the shakeups are still continuing for July. Some sites in the front page Google listings for certain markets are moving to page 3,4,5 and then they regain back their rankings after some days. Some placements are shifting like crazy.

Great discussion. I am a new webmaster and blogger so understanding how all this works is pretty important to me. I think the best advice I saw was also in The Hitchhiker's guide to the Universe. DON'T PANIC!!

Good advice for SERP and good advice in every part of our life from finances, to relationships, to the web.

I look forward to reading many more of your posts. I just found this site and love the information you make available.

@Tara
Hey, nice to hear from you. I know I got PR2 for two brand new sites that have like no links, while 2 aged sites with lots of links got PR1, it's weird and probably what will happen is at the next update the PR will lower for those overated sites.

Hi JR,
Long time no see! Been crazy around here. I wanted to also note many of my sites lost major PR as well. Then a few sites I just finished already have a PR 2, which is funny to me.

It would be ncie for Google to make their mind up and keep things running smoothly!

@Peter,
Yes it is, and you always have to stay on top of your rankings not only because of G but because of the competition

The SERP's are always jumping around it's nothing new. Yes Google's algorithm does change but people drop because they stop building backlinks once they reach their goal.
