1000 Free Quality PLR Articles and Free Duplicate Content Tool

Is this you dealing with website content and article writing?
Then here are some really great goodies that will restore some peace and sanity.
As a follow up to my post 16 Website Content Ideas, here is a great resource to get 1000 Free PLR articles that I found when perusing the net, and since I am a cheap skate, I was looking for PLR that was quality and free and I found it!!
What is PLR?
Just to review PLR is Private Label Rights, PLR is usually sold or in this case given away and this is an article license that provides content that you can do WHATEVER you want with, including, edit, rewrite, take credit for and republish verbatim as your own, but DO NOT do the last one.
Goodie #1
1,000 FREE PLR ARTICLES - This PLR pack has tons of niches and topics and many of the articles have really quality information and are pretty detailed.
No Catches just 3 steps: 1. They ask for your email to send the PLR. 2. There is a sales page to some other products (actually look pretty good) that you can skip at the bottom of the page if you wish. 3. Get an email with your PLR download link, well worth that effort!
Using PLR Effectively:
Always, Always rewrite PLR. Keep the substance but regroup sentences, change common words, rewrite in your own words, etc.. to make the articles unique. Remember that you don’t know how many others have used the PLR and they should not be used as exact duplicates but used to make life easier not having to write content from scratch.
I found a couple of articles that I actually cut up and re-pieced together to make a great page of content for my computer niche site.
As long as you rewrite it, PLR can be used for Article Marketing as well as website content.
Hell of a lot easier than writing from scratch!![]()
Goodie #2
Free Duplicate Content Checker
DUPE FREE PRO - Compares articles side by side and gives you a percentage of the duplicity between articles so you can check your original PLR with the rewritten for duplication percentage.
1. Copy and paste original and rewritten article into separate areas
2. Hit the COMPARE button - Bam! the software gives a percentage of duplicity, VERY COOL!!
It even highlights the duplicated phrases for easy changes.
And, this tool calculates keyword density for any phrase or keyword you put in!!!
I would suggest you get your free copy of Dupe Free Pro NOW, I doubt they will be giving it away forever, frankly I am surprised it is free now.
Now, I honestly cannot advise on the ideal percentage, but I shoot for anything below 15%, if anyone disagrees with this number please feel free to comment and give your input.
What do you guys think?

Hello Ben,
First duplicate content is often misunderstood, here is a post I wrote to clarify Duplicate Content Myths and Facts.
As far as PLR goes, that is why you rewrite it so that your site does not look like scraped content that has been used over and over elsewhere. Make sense?

I’ve never had much luck with PLR articles. It’s important to remember not to submit them to article directories because they don’t like them even if they’re rewritten. Wouldn’t surprise me if they use specific software created to recognize it!
Thanks for the tip about Dupe Free Pro. Never heard of it until now.

Hi Eunice,
Long time no hear! Yes you are right about PLR for article directories, you have to be really careful, basically for article sites I would just use the PLR as a guide and completely rewrite, but as Ben said for niches that you know nothing about it can be helpful to have a skeleton to work with. What bad luck have you had with PLR?
Simple internet strategies reply on November 8th, 2008 7:16 pm:
Well, it wasn’t really bad luck, more like disappointment. The first month was great but the following 2 months, I couldn’t use most of the articles. They were in a health niche that I wasn’t doing. Not only that, I wasn’t just rewriting a little bit…I was rewriting practically the whole article so I decided to discontinue.
I do agree that having a skeleton article is nice but when it’s written poorly to start with, it’s a hastle to rewrite. I wanted to give value to my visitors, not rehashed, poorly researched and poorly written content that didn’t make sense.

Eunice,
I totally understand that, I would never use PLR for this blog, but for niche sites where the content is not the most important thing, but getting traffic from SEO and therefore sales is, PLR can work, but I agree the content still has to be decent and make sense.. I have seen those poorly written PLR’s that make no sense and those are horrible.
Dennis Edell reply on November 9th, 2008 11:32 am:
Also keep in mind, a lot of the ones that make no sense whatsoever are also “spun”, which rarely works well at all.

Automatic spinning of articles is useless but there are a few (free) services such as jetspinner that are pretty good.

Faxless,
Yes Jetspinner is good except I hate the coding.

Hi Ben,
I too have always written my own articles, but when you have a few sites it can get overwhelming, it’s nice to have a skeleton to work with.
JR reply on November 8th, 2008 7:35 pm:
Ben, yeah it really helps with niches you are not familiar with and that are hard to write for.

Yet another awesome tip you are sharing with us here. I wonder if you are actually running any niche sites at the moment. With all the contents at your disposal, I don’t see the reason why you are creating any auto-pilot niche sites.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I’m going to see if there is anything I could plug into my site at the moment.

PLR is never meant to be used as is, as far as I can tell. It is useful for a base of knowledge from which to create something unique.

Hello Paul,
I can understand that, for me sometimes it is easier to write my own and that is what I have been doing for most of the time, but sometimes I find it quicker to rewrite a PLR.
November 14th, 2008 at 11:35 am
I use Dupe Cop myself. I just stick the PLR content in on the left side, and rewrite directly into the right side. I just keep writing until I refresh to see uniqueness of 70% and then I stop and use my content. dupe cop is also free.

Can you explain how the comment luv thing works? I am interested in contributing to your blog content with useful comments and I also, of course, want to create some do follow anchored links. I would like to create links for several keywords and for several pages at my website, but I cannot see how to get the ‘luv’ and still do that. looks like if i change the keyword or the url i don’t get the luv. any suggestions?
Now I wanted to add that if you create an article right inside dupecop, don’t just copy and paste cuz you will get more than you bargained for….copy to a dot txt document first to lose all that code that you inadvertentley picked up at dupe cop….i think that is what works. anyway, if you are creating content for your own blog, just take a look at thte html page before you publish.
JR reply on November 14th, 2008 3:09 pm:
@ Cheap GPS
Welcome and thanks for the tips on PLR. Comment Luv is made for blog systems, so when you enter a comment with a blog url, then it automatically retrieves your latest blog post and puts it at the end of your comment, so if you are are linking to static sites it will not do anything.
If you don’t have blogs then you still get a do-follow link to your url in comments. See this post for details: http://getinternetmarketingstrategies.com/2008/06/this-blog-allows-do-follow-links-in-comments/
November 14th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
Jr,
what another great find. I am going to check out Dupe right now. I normally use PLR to give away as free reports, or as a thank you, so I do not edit much. But, I would love to use some PLR on some blogs to save me some time.

Wow, I see all my friends here
Nice post JR. I like to use PLR products as an idea jogger. I have hundreds of private label articles on my hard drive transferred to word pad to strip any coding and to make quick scanning very easy. Two minutes on it and I’ll have a new idea to run with. I close the articles and run with the idea and see what it looks like when I’m finished. Sometimes it will transform into something entirely different before I’m finished researching the project.
JR reply on November 19th, 2008 6:06 pm:
Hi Brian, thanks and welcome, I like your technique, I have been doing that as well!
November 20th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Hi JR. A good post post I do wonder if the time taken to rewrite the content would be better spent just writing your own. I find it very quick to knock out a few articles in an hour or so, and that’s with submission time.
JR reply on November 20th, 2008 2:23 pm:
@ Three Dog,
What you say is true, but the PLR can also help to get ideas about what to write, especially for those niches that are unfamiliar. Like Brian said, a quick scan and you can get tons of new ideas for articles, even if you write them yourself.
November 20th, 2008 at 10:23 am
Sorry to post again. Re your earlier comments about not mentioning your other sites niches etc. It is something I have been wondering about myself but for my sig here I think it’s OK. I really think it depends on the niche you are in and if your content is so individual you don’t need to worry about theft, copying etc, also you give me a real quick link boost he he.
My main question however is squidoo. I have basically given up on my lenses and changed to my own sites. Over the last month my lenses have totally dropped of the radar. No more traffic from google at all on some. Are yours stil doing OK or have you seen something similar.
JR reply on November 20th, 2008 2:18 pm:
Hello Three Dog and welcome!
No for comments of course you need to list your sites, but as a flagship blogger I do not give away my niches and sites, too many haters and copiers out there like you said. Best to keep things separate and anonymous, I have heard some horror stories out there, when bloggers do case studies and give up their niches and sites.
I have had a lot of success with Squidoo, see my post: How to Squidoo this gives the steps to building effective lenses and keep them ranking, unless you use specific techniques they can easily fall out of G. A couple of my lense make me a steady 350-600 a month in income.
