Blogging Guide – Long List of Ping Services for Blog Promotion

While most of my focus here is Internet marketing and affiliate marketing, I have picked up a trick or two about blogging and blog promotion. Unlike website promotion, it is actually easier to promote blogs.

If you are running a blog then you probably know that every time you post content the blog pings feed services out there and that helps spread your content and gets the blog exposure.

The WordPress default list for pinging is pretty pathetic, I think when I started this blog there was only one on the list. On the advice of more experienced bloggers I have added many more over the months, which provides much more exposure and I wanted to give all my blogger readers a list of the services I ping.

Directions to Update Ping Services

From your dashboard go to Settings then Writing, and at the bottom there is a box to add ping services.

J.R., you rock! I’ve been meaning to improve my ping list but you’ve done it for me. Thanks! It would have taken me months to gather this list and here you are, providing it for me. JR, thanks for the goldmine of information. My only question, and I hope it’s not too dumb, is that I use blogger, and I cannot find where on my Blogger dashboard to insert these urls. Any ideas from you or your audience?

Hey Success,
That list and pinging ability only works with self hosted domains, not with the free hosted blogger, wordpress.com etc. Those blogging platforms are controlled by them and I do not believe you can edit those settings. I am also pretty sure that google, who runs blogger, all ready pings a long list of services.

Hello Since am have free Blog so i can’t set up this ping list.but however i found the tool .that wiil Ping our blog in just one submit button on 92 Pinging Service

I do not believe you can alter the ping list with Blogspot, but they do pink a lot of services all ready.

I recommend blogspot-ping.com because is the only Web service which offers a completely automatic ping service for Blogger
