The Cheapest Domain Registration on the Planet

Hosting/Domains Do-Follow Comments

By, JR

In order to launch a website you need to register (purchase) a domain name and get a company to host your website in order for it to be live. A domain is the URL, such as www.yourdomain.com. The .com is termed the extension of a domain and there are several, such as, .info, .net, .biz, .us, .org, .asia etc…

All though there are differing opinions on this topic, in the Internet Marketing world, I prefer .com, because it is the original extension, the most popular and the one most people remember and so it is perfect for branding. Of all the extensions, the .com is one of the most expensive.

Usually, a hosting company will offer you a very cheap domain registration if you buy their hosting, however, I do NOT recommend registering your domain this way. It is best to buy a domain from a registrar separate from your hosting company. There are many horror stories, where people have had problems that tie their hands when they want to transfer hosts and the domain was also registered with that host.

Domain registration with a separate registrar and then completing a quick process of pointing the nameservers to a different host is the better route.

If, Hostgator, is The Best Web Hosting Company, and the king of website hosting, then All Cheap Web is the king of domain registration.  (Coupon Code - wordpress - gets you Hostgator for the 1st month for only 1 Cent)

I have researched over 40 domain registration services and on average, the cost for registering a .com domain is $9.99 per year and an additional $8.99 for private registration, which means that your name, address and other private information is blocked form public view.

Well, with All Cheap Web, .com domain registration is $6.95 and only and additional $1.95 for private registration. Plus, .info domains for $1.99. THAT IS A GREAT DEAL! So register your domains with All Cheap Web and then get hosting services from Host Gator, you won’t be sorry!

User friendly and dirt cheap All Cheap Web wins hands down!

What do you guys think? Anyone found any cheaper domain registration?

    Hey Jr,
Have you used these guys before for names? A few years ago I found some company that had 1.99 domain names and for the life of me can not find out who it was. I normally get my domains from GoDaddy, I have a coupon code that gets .com for 6.99 a year. But if I can get them for 1.99 I am on that one!

Ok now that I re-read that, I made a mistake. It is .info names that are that cheap. I never do the private registrations, maybe I should be!

I have got to find the company I got those names from for 1.99.

Yeah, only the .info are 1.99, I have never seen .com’s that low. I used GoDaddy before I found All Cheap Web, never had coupons so I paid $10.

Man this is cheap. In fact it’s really the 1.95$ private registration that’s interesting. That’s what I hate with GoDaddy, it ends up to be 20$ because of the private registration. No we can go under 10$ for website + private registration. Great find buddy!

Yes, me too, I like the private reg and that takes it $20.

I’ll have to check them out when I’m going to buy a new domain. Right now, I’ve been mostly buying older, pre-owned, domains through AfterNic/GoDaddy which is more expensive but has some distinct advantages over a brand new domain.

Like Ben said, the $1.95 private registration is interesting. Is this an intro offer or do they say that it will stay at that price going forward?

    @ Frank
I have not seen anything about a limited offer, I have bought three domains from them in the last 3 months at that same price, probably eventually they will go up as everyone else, but so far so good!
