I totally agree! I’ve run into quite a few people (probably the same forum!) who insist that you should wait. Wait for what??? I heard it was at least 100 visitors a day. Bah!

I think you add monetization when it’s right for you! Most people are searching for information and they are in the mindset to buy when they come to your website. Being an affiliate of a program that offers the visitor even more information just makes good sense. “If they buy, they buy”.

I think the point you’ve made about balance is good, too. You don’t want to be obnoxious about it. Just offer it where and when it makes sense.
