Just found out that Google is doing another Page Rank update. Three of my sites went up thanks to all the link building efforts. This is the fun part, where the link building efforts of Internet Marketing pay off!
Remember to continue your link building efforts daily. It may be tedious, and boring but it is crucial for Search Engine Optimization and Page Rank and of course for climbing in the Search Engine Page Results (SERPS).
There are times when it may seem like it’s all useless and lame and that you hate anything related to the word link. You want to take that anchor text and chuck it far over a nice high bridge. You will want to shoot yourself when the last thing in the world you want is to see another hyperlink, but then the gates open and beautiful music starts playing, you are swooped up by snow white angels and carried off into Page Rank Bliss.
Ok, maybe that’s a bit much, but believe me it all pays off in the end.
Top Page Rank Increase Link Building Methods:
Relevant Link Exchange

Directory Submission
Do-Follow Social Bookmarks: Social Marketing 45 Social Bookmark Sites
I am not going to go over the details as I have written detailed guides on this before:

AND, remember the do-follow blog comments, you can find do-follow blogs by keywords with Do-Follow Diver Search Engine.
Also, I offer a do-follow link in comments. So leave a comment and you will get a nice backlink!! Make sure to use your good anchor text ;-).
Now, go build links!!

Call me a skeptic, but I’ll believe it when I see it (on my SEO Quake toolbar).
My own site has been “frozen” at PR 3 for 5 months, since the last true PR update on February 25.
Lord knows I deserve a “4″ or even a “5″ because my links have gone from under 1,500 to over 4,000 during that time period.

First, this update could take a few days before it shows up.
Also it’s not always the number of links, but the quality, and in Google eyes, quality = relevance. I have not experienced what you are describing and I don’t know what links you have built, so it is difficult to analyze.
In reality, we all know that Google is unpredictable and they don’t exactly hand out the blueprints, however they do provide some guidance on the how-to’s of page rank and indexing within Webmaster Tools.
Also, in my experience to make the transition from a PR3 to 4, 5 and higher, Google may be looking for more one-way links from high PR authority sites as an indication that you have some authority in your niche.
And, in reality Page Rank is just one aspect of SEO and SERPS, I have a site that is a PR2 and sits above two PR5 sites in the SERPS and I have seen this time and time again and I believe that this is due to content and relevance of the content for the keywords, in the end, content is most important.
I notice that your site does not have much written content, and of course your type of site is focused on a specific service, but without content it is difficult to do a deep Internal Linking Strategy and to optimize your site for keywords.

Yai!!! Congrats, I knew you would get it eventually. I think the transition from 3 to 4 must somehow be a difficult one, I see many site sitting at 3 for a long time.

Hey Sacramento Weddings,
There are a lot of PR Checking tools out there but I’ve found that the following tool gives you an accurate PR for this most recent update from Google:

Unfortunately, your site still shows a PR3. But don’t feel bad, I know a lot of ppl who had a PR3 and went down to PR2 with this update.
Hope that helps!

Congrats for your recent PR updates JR. Everything remained the same for me, but I haven’t done a lot of stuff for my old websites lately. I mostly focused on new projects in the last months so that’s why. But at least none lost PR!

I hope I get a bumpat some point. I really need some good motivation as link building as you say can get a bit wearisome at times. Especially on a new project where you need to put in a lot of initial work.

I know, and you right at the beginning is the hardest. What I usually do is keep in mind that it is essential, then I usually put some time aside everyday to that link building, and make sure to have a daily to-do-list where link building is a part of it.
Also, if you are not feeling creative on a certain day, you can skip article marketing for instance that takes more cerebral effort and do some social bookmarks, or blog comments that really is much less thought invoking. Also, I always have my TV on, and so link building is much more tolerable!
Also, you can outsource if it is financially feasable, I use this Social Bookmark Service that I advertise here, it’s very cheap and can save a lot of time.
Also, use this post 1000 Free PLR Articles you can use the PLR for article marketing to get ideas and not have to write from scratch, just make sure that you rewrite them significantly, this can really excel link building and not make it so draining.
Oh and see my post 2 Free Directory Submission Softwares these are really cool for submitting to directories, save loads of time!
I know it sucks, but it’s just the reality and believe me if you are having a day that you really don’t feel like doing it, just say f–k it, just make sure to resume the next day.
